Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky to kollel student "voted עץ? I can't bless"

It seems the Gedolei Yisrael's struggle against Bnei Torah party; the last word has not been said. Stories are popping up every day and new evidence on the boycott, declaring to anyone who casts ballot in municipal elections for the new party ballots.

The latest story is the grandson of Hgr"y Edelstein, Rabbi of Ramat Hasharon, who registered his son to Talmud Torah Beer Yehoshua in Bnei Brak. Administration rejected his request outright, for they had learned he was a supporter and advocate of the Bnei Torah party.

Grandson did not give up and went to his grandfather, to use his influence on the management of the Talmud Torah. Grandfather listened, but wrung his hands with inability to help. "You decided to act and vote for 'עץ', it is clear they would not accept you. I cannot help."

This case joins after what happened yesterday: young man came to the home of Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky at reception and offered a 'Kvitel', with his name and his mother's name for a blessing.

Reb Chaim raised his eyes and looked at the avrech: "You voted עץ? I cannot bless."

Those present, of course, were in shock. But concluded how Hgr"ch is determined in his war against the supporters of the Bnei Torah.

The above joins the order of Hgray"l Steinman to Yeshivas Orchos Torah to stop purchasing meat from Rabbi Nachum Yabrov's salughter, after he supported Bnei Torah.
