In response to mortar: IAF attacked Gaza

Air Force attacked this evening (Tuesday) weapons manufacturing site and two tunnels in southern Gaza , and the focus of terrorist activity in northern Gaza - in response to mortar shells which were fired in the morning at an IDF force near the security fence in the southern Gaza Strip.

Palestinians reported this evening that the Israeli Air Force attacked five different areas in Gaza, in Beit Lahiya and Khan Younis. According to reports, one attack has been identified as outpost belonging to the military wing of Islamic Jihad.

The IDF said that the injuries were identified as precise targets. "All our planes returned safely to their bases."

"The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens and IDF soldiers," the IDF Spokesperson said in a statement, "and will continue to operate against anyone who activates terror against the State of Israel. Hamas is a terrorist organization and they are held responsible."
