Police seeks Yiddish: Who identifies the skirt

Rockland County Police yesterday released (Monday) a letter in Yiddish, which is seeking the Haredi public's help looking for a non Jewish woman who murdered a newborn baby - and put it in a local plastic garbage bag.

The Hispanic looking baby 3.5 kg was located in a public garbage can on 55 North Myrtle Street in Spring Valley in Monsey, alongside a stained skirt and a towel.

According to the police investigator Peter Klausen, the label that was on the skirt belongs to a skirt sold approximately for $ 400 in two Orthodox stores: 'S & W.' orthodox owned and clothing store in Kiryat Yoel.

Police investigators believe that the young woman who killed her baby is a housekeeper employed in one of the orthodox Monsey homes. "We speculate the Orthodox landlady gave the gentile maid her skirt to wear while working at her home, it is the custom in Orthodox homes here. That is why we decided to post ads in yiddish with an image of the skirt, Haredi residents will be able to identify the garment and lead us to the killer.

"We believe the killer may have even been back to work in the orthodox home without saying anything. It is quite possibly the murderer even kept her pregnancy a secret from her Orthodox employer with a full skirt and loose shirt, I have worked for 33 years as a researcher, and have yet to come across something like this."

Researcher promised a reward of $ 2,500 for those that will capture the killer.
