Attorney General approved the declaration of results in Beit Shemesh

Eli Cohen's request that the Attorney General, to postpone the announcement of the election results in Beit Shemesh , was rejected.

Earlier this week, Cohen filed a request to the Attorney General, to stop the publication of the results Beit Shemesh municipality and the announcement of the election of mayor Moshe Abutbul .

Attorney General rushed to the application, and in a reasoned letter was written noting that "the manager election is not given any discretion regarding publication of results, and furthermore also not authorized by the Attorney General to order director elections in Beit Shemesh who Gazette notice of election results in "as you requested" .

In light of this Attorney General signed the letter with a response stating that "in view of the above, and without experiencing course opinion on the merits, not authorized by the Attorney General to respond to your request," and he even notes that "according to what we received from the Ministry Protocol referred to in Article 66 was signed and forwarded for publication ".

Yesterday took effect election results, the Mayor Moshe Abutbul into a second term mayor, and 19 members of the city council which entered office with the ten new members who were not members of the municipality during the previous term.
