Ethics Committee headed by MK Yitzhak Cohen of Shas decided today (Wednesday) to deny the right to address the plenum from MK Meir Porush for two weeks.

The decision was made following the memorable handcuffs incident which occurred last month during a plenary debate on conscription law, then Porush handcuffed his hands to the stand. Ethics Committee insists that the reason also lays punishment for that he caused damage to the microphone.

Remember, even in the case of MK Ahmad Tibi when he poured a glass of water and ruined the microphone – he was sentenced similarly.

MK Meir Porush responded that the act, in which he tied himself in handcuffs, is engraved in memory more than two weeks worth of speeches at the plenum.
