During the Twenty-Eighth Conference of European Rabbis held in Berlin, near midnight on Monday following a day of discussions and Torah shiurim participants were accompanied by dozens of police cars at the Vredenburg gate.

Surrounded by dozens of police and security personnel communications teams from Germany and Europe, hundreds of rabbis marched, arm in arm, holding candles and singing 'Utzu eizah vetufar' at the world famous gate .

President of the conference, Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt said, "Where thousands of Wehrmacht and SS marched when Hitler enemy was watching them, are marching today European Rabbis stated, we won! Jewish people got up from the dust. We started hundreds of religious communities led by rabbis in Israel. Strength of Israel will not lie."
Hundreds of rabbis started singing 'Ani maamin' and began to walk toward the Vredenburg gate monument set by Berlin Municipality in World Memory of those who perished in the Holocaust of Europe. Thousands of fake tombstones were scattered a few hundred meters from the Arc de Triomphe.

Founder of the Beth Zion in Berlin, Rabbi Joshua Spinner spoke: "The architect who designed this memory in the form of gravestones wanted to build 2800 monuments. Finally succeeded only in 2711 and for good reason - this is the number of the Babylonian Talmud. This is the true commemorative worthy of the victims. Torah and more Torah. Yeshivas and Shiurei Torah.

Secretary of the conference, Rabbi Elimelech Venzeta read Tehillim and Hgr"p Goldschmidt spoke recited a prayer.
