Get objector's father was forced to resign from Artscroll

Rabbi Yosef Weiss, father of divorce objector Avraham Meir Weiss of Long Island, sent yesterday (Monday) the heads of Artscroll, where he worked for years - a letter of resignation.

Recall, last week his Avraham Meir Weiss's estranged wife was interviewed by newspaper The New York Times, and recounted her personal story and her husband's continued refusal to grant her a divorce. Gittel Dodelson told about the struggle she was having the past three years to break free from the shackles of that status and that immediately after the birth of her son she left home after she felt that enough is enough.

Gittel claimed in an interview that since she left her husband he refuses to grant her a divorce, and as a condition for granting the divorce is demanding huge sums of money. In the newspaper she turned to her husband and asked him to release her if for the sake of their only son.

Get objector's father defended his son, and published a defense in which he blames the woman with lies and inaccuracies and argues that the opposite is true, and that his son is actually the victim in the case. But the father's defense further inflamed the atmosphere, followed by which the father had to quit his job, as he recounts the dismissal letter briefly explaining that his resignation is in order not to harm Artscroll.
