Rabbi Eliezer Berland, the rabbi of Shuvu Banim congregation who fled the law in Israel - took off last Thursday night from his exile in Morocco to the Cairo airport after he was forced to leave the African country by order of the King of Morocco, and from there went to an unknown destination.

Rabbi Berland went with two of his associates, also accompanied by the offender Gabi Ben Harosh, who did not leave Morocco for ten years - until now.

Rabbi Berland's associates we spoke with, find it difficult to pinpoint the Rav's location. According to some he is in Johannesburg, South Africa, Others claim that Rabbi Berland is indeed in South Africa - but not in Johannesburg.

Other versions claim that the rabbi went rather to the neighboring Zimbabwe, and according to others he actually flew to Kazakhstan - or another country in Asia.

One thing his associates know, that on Friday Rabbi Berland had conversation with his wife the Rebbetzin and son Nahman, and told them that he is safe and thank G-d everything is fine.
