New York report: Who won who lost?

After victory speeches carried out by Representatives in New York, after months of work packed with ads, posters, field trips dinars and ultra-Orthodox neighborhoods, officials Orthodox dealers in New - York evacuated to take stock and see who gained and who lost, who bet on the right horse and who was wrong.

Communities who won

• Orthodox community in New - York

Orthodox community in New York went out of its way to bring some more people to the polls and to demonstrate their electoral strength of Orthodox Judaism .

Contractor's young voices and politicians as a member of the New York City Council David Greenfield settled in central shteiblech on election morning, reminding the public how important it is to vote.

Even Agudath Israel of America and the Council of Torah Sages came out – and called upon the Haredi public to participate in the elections.

Indeed: the highest turnout in New - York, enrolled in Haredi neighborhoods, compared to a very low turnout in non-Jewish population. Efforts also bore fruit for the first time in history two council haredi members will serve on the city council.

• Satmar - Mahara

Satmar community Hmhar"a were headed first to gamble on Bill de Belsio as candidate for mayor of New York, and were the first to publicly support him.

Another process that produced victory is "block" created with two Bobov factions. The block led to the reelection of City Councilman David Greenfield. It should follow the pact between the courtyards, in the future.
Candidates who won
• David Greenfield

David Greenfeld fought against the group who raced a straw candidate, has invested not less than one hundred thousand dollars in the election campaign.

On Election Day competitor's spread a fake letter of support of rabbis who supported Greenfield. The letter claimed so to speak, the rabbis changed their minds and moved their support. Unfair conduct did good to Greenfield who swept 88 percent of the vote . Percentage of support is unprecedented.

• Chaim Deutsch - Chairman of the Shomrim Flatbush

Deutsch realized his dream and became a city councilman. He promised to be representative of security in the region he represents.

Deutsch ran against David Strovin who did anything to be elected. But he won the orthodox support. Flatbush rabbis and yeshiva heads came together for him in a call, released on the eve of the elections.
Winners backstage
• Simcha Felder

One of the winners in the wings , is Simcha Felder , the oldest Orthodox politician , former member of the city council Orthodox Borough Park and reached the position Senator in the Legislature of the State of New York .

Felder supported Greenfield, praised him as the most industrious city council, and also held a campaign for Chaim Deutsch.

• Young advisors

Top winners of the Orthodox advisers of Bill de Belsio: Ari Naeh, Pinchas Ringel, and Avi Fink, who opened for him the doors of Hassidic courts, rabbis and public opinion leaders escorted visits to Haredi neighborhoods , organized evenings for him with the great support of the Hasidic Governors, drafted him posters in Yiddish and English ads and what not.
All losers
• Dov Hikind

One of the biggest losers in the elections, is the oldest religious politician - Assemblyman - Dov Hikind who gambled on the wrong horse.

Hikind refused to express support for Bill de Belsio and did everything to thwart the two Haredi city council members David Greenfield and Chaim Deutsch. Election night at his home convened several senior cadres to do everything to prevent the selection of two Orthodox representatives.

• Satmar - Peleg Hazlonim

Hazlonim decided to support early elections Bill Thompson for mayor despite polls predicting a victory for Bill de Belsio. (If that supported him in the race for mayor). They waged a campaign against the election of Greenfield and next term will have to look for other politicians to promote their interests.

• Rockland County Orthodox community

Candidates supported by the ultra-Orthodox public Rockland County have failed, despite the high turnout of the ultra-Orthodox public.
