"The Gab"d instructed to identify and release the detainee"

Magnificent synagogue was inaugurated at the police station in Hadera after weeks of praying at the police station at a temporary place. After the hustle of building the long-awaited moment has arrived and dozen police officers were waiting when the station building was inaugurated today (Wednesday ) with a large audience.

The first police station synagogue was built in תשמ"וand was named after coordinator of intelligence station, Mordechai Aryeh z"l, who fell in the line of duty, and whose son was one of the police stations. Over the years after the old synagogue was too small for the crowds of worshipers, it was decided to establish a new synagogue. Unlike all the police stations in the country, this was built adjacent to the synagogue office of Hadera station commander Chief Superintendent Avi Maor, who gladly gave his office a few meters to build a reputable synagogue at the station.

Religious life at Hadera has another aspect, the form of the station rabbi, Rabbi David Birnbaum. Rabbi, who is chairman of the Association of religious institutions in Hadera, accompanies the police station for 13 years. "I give Torah classes at the station, especially on the Parsha," Rabbi Birnbaum says. "Attended by dozens of police officers who come to recharge with spirituality at the station before Shabbos."
