A woman who is refused a divorce, a resident of Lakewood and the estranged wife of the grandson of Hagaon Rabbi Moshe Feinstein decided to take an unusual step to force her husband to give her a divorce, and was interviewed by the newspaper The New York Post, one of the most popular newspapers in the U.S.

In an interview granted by Gittel Dodelson , a relative of Rabbi Aryeh Malkiel Kotler, if mother of a four year old child, she tells how she met her husband in a hotel lobby , "At first I did not want the match ," she said, " but my parents convinced me to agree."

"The Haredi sector," says Dodelson, "you rely a lot on what people tell you , so I gave him another chance . After a few months we got engaged."

"The big day of the wedding arrived. I was happy. We celebrated together with four hundred guests at the wedding hall in Lakewood. But three days later I realized I had made a terrible mistake when I lit candles as my mother used to do but he claimed that he has another custom and consequently didn’t speak to me the entire Shabbos.

"Avraham studied all day and I was the only breadwinner. It was overbearing, he did not let me hire a maid and gave me a sense of suffocation. When I asked to go to a marriage counselor he responded that he was not prepared for that and if I want I can leave the house. When my little boy was born he refused my parents to come to visit and treated them harshly. "

A month after the birth of her son she decided to leave after she could not bear his behavior.

After trying all acceptable ways to persuade her husband to give her a divorce and failed, she decided to tell her story in the newspaper.

According to her, her husband declared that he would never give her a divorce and he refuses to go to rabbinical court and the Rabbinical Court "Mechon Le'Horao" Monsey has issued a seruv against him, which he has ignored.

She turned to her husband in the newspaper: "Avraham if you read the article I beg you, let's leave the past and continue our future each as an individual and let's concentrate on our son Aryeh and our future instead of getting stuck in the past.
