Yerushalmi money changer gone: Investors are concerned

Concern in Jerusalem: old money changer in town, who acquired the trust of the Yeshivas, Kollelim and business people - gone since Sunday, leaving behind hundreds of anxious investors, who placed in his hands amounts of hundreds of thousands.

According to one of his colleagues: "This is one of the most decent people I know in the area. This man is very cautious, yet like all of us he fell many times, but never overthrew a person."

The family of the lost moneychanger says that he went abroad. "I heard from a family member that someone overthrew him with three hundred thousand shekels, and he went to look for him personally. Others say he fell with the heads of American checks and Conference USA have redeemed them, after the bank which redeemed Florida's checks, deportees and yeshiva heads - announced that it is ending its operations."

Either way, no one was able to contact the moneychanger since Sunday, the public of investors is following the developments with concern, and the issue became the talk of Orthodox Bnei Brak and Jerusalem concentrations.
