Tragedy on Imrei Chaim street in Bnei Brak: A four and a half months old baby lost consciousness while in the home of a caretaker. Medics carried out lengthy resuscitation on the baby, until the arrival of Mobile Intensive Care Unit, which evacuated him, while performing resuscitation and in critical condition to a hospital where he was pronounced dead unfortunately. The background is probably SIDS.
Yechiel Miller, Ichud Hatzala paramedic, told Behadrey Haredim that he received a Mirs call about the resuscitation of an infant on Imrei Chaim street. "When I got there, I saw a woman performing CPR on the infant. Along with other volunteers who joined, we gave the infant resuscitation for about 5 minutes, until the arrival of an ambulance, which took him to a linkup to intensive care."
The babysitter said that when she went to the cradle she noticed that the infant was not breathing. She went down to the street and began shouting for help. The mother of a Ichud Hatzala medic, who lives across the street, heard the screams, went to the balcony and instructed her to perform CPR, while calling the Ichud Hatzala center.
Meir Gargirian, Hatzala Gush Dan medic, said: "When we arrived we found the nanny holding an unconscious baby who was not breathing, after she had gone down to the street. We performed resuscitation on the spot and he was taken during resuscitation to the Tel Hashomer hospital. Unfortunately, doctors at the hospital pronounced him dead. According to the babysitter she tried to wake the child from sleep, but he did not respond and she immediately invited the MDA. "
One of the volunteers from Hatzala Gush Dan, accompanied the family in these difficult hours, and was with them and helped them until the end of the burial.
This was a first born of a young couple.
