Prisoner X • Talkative, shell-shocked and associated to destruction of Dubai

Case of prisoner X rose to the top headlines in Australia and local media say today (Wednesday) that he had a problematic nature.

One of his friends from the "young guard" in Australia, who was with him at Kibbutz Gazit in 1994, told the news agency JTA that "Ben has never struck me as a solid man. I could not imagine that someone like that would be suitable for the Mossad, in addition, Ben talked too much". According to testimony from other members Zygier was "talkative".

In addition, local media say that in 2009, as a student of Economics at Monash University in Australia, he made friends with students from Iran and Syria.
In contrast, members of the Gazit kibbutz where Zygier was staying, described a positive person. Another friend who came with him from Australia told Walla that, "He was a wonderful person, everyone loved it, and this is a very big tragedy. He was very friendly and positive with a lot of joy who loved life and Israel."

However, another kibbutz member said that there was a rumor in the kibbutz he was shell-shocked. "I do not know for sure, but that's what they said at the kibbutz, during his army service he was in Lebanon, and in one of the activities they had to enter the house to capture a terrorist. According to what they say, the terrorist apparently hid between the children some of whom were killed in the shooting, and he came back shell-shocked. After that he left the kibbutz and we had nothing to do with him."
A work associate of Zygier, also said that the latter told him about an injury and a traumatic event in Lebanon.

Earlier Zygier's father, Ephraim (Jeffrey), first referred to the affair and said, "This story still hurts too much to talk right now.

"We understand the issue it raises, but we decided not to talk to anyone, not now, I'm sorry."

The father is a person known in the Jewish community in Australia and is at the top of the Anti-Defamation Committee of the "allies".

The Australian ASIO investigated

According to other reports, the domestic intelligence service (ASIO) has investigated in 2009, three Australian citizens who immigrated to Israel and returned to Australia to be renamed and get new passports. This happened a year before the imprisonment of "Prisoner X" in Israel.

Other local newspapers noted that, in February 2010 the Mahmoud Mabhouh affair exploded; a Hamas agent who was assassinated by foreign sources, by the institution in Dubai.

The event was revealed and published the names and details involved in the operation. Some the Dubai police, argued, held Australian passports.
The Australian government expelled an Israeli diplomat following the incident, identified later - according to foreign publications - as a representative of the Mossad in Israel, and this was protest against the alleged use of Australian passports in the operation.

According to Australian sources clues, there is a connection between the stories of 'Prisoner X" to the elimination of Mabhouh. How exactly? It is not clear. But there is no doubt that even now serious damage has been caused to the Mossad from exposing the affair.

Intended suicide

Haggai Amir, brother of Yigal Amir, assassinator of Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, who was imprisoned for 10 years in solitary confinement cell where Ben Zygier committed suicide, is suggesting that the cell is built to break the spirit of the prisoner and bring him to suicide.

He writes on his Facebook page: "The cell where my brother was held in Be'er Sheva prison and then in Ayalon Prison is not meant at all to maintain confidence or to protect others from him as claimed by the Shin Bet and the prosecution, but was primarily designed to break him mentally and push him to commit suicide as they did with that prisoner."

"However," he adds, "the attempt to break the spirit of by brother failed because G-d is with him."

"Just a little food for thought, he adds," from the case of the prisoner who committed suicide one can learn the absolute cooperation between the country governmental media and the security system and not only in this area."
