This morning (Wednesday), with the decision in Petah Tikva to convict the chief food technologist of the company, Remedia, causing death by negligence, and on the other hand to acquit the two other defendants, Michal Ziser - who lost her son Avishai z"l in the case, went up to his grave in the cemetery. "I told him that the circle had closed and the person responsible for his death was convicted, I'm sure he knows that."

Concerning the judge's decision, she said in a conversation with B'Chadrei Charedim she was surprised by the acquittal of CEO Gideon Landsberger. "I respect the court's decision, but he was the CEO and had a connection to the professional aspect, and it surprises me", she said. "You have to understand what happened here, I was surprised to hear Remedia shake off responsibility – I was surprised by the line of failures."
Zisser said that in her opinion, the decision to convict the defendants of causing death by negligence "is very important."

She added that the decision to pass the blame on the doorstep of 'Humana' is annoying. "I did not buy Humana, I bought Remedia. A series of failures and warning signs were developed and they did nothing."

Yesterday she said that "the punishment is less disturbing. I want justice to be done, otherwise seemingly nothing happened. Children died, others lost all their health, families suffer, and we cannot just move on."
