At around 15:00 notification was received of fear of a possible terrorist attack in Jerusalem – in the short term.
Consequently, all emergency agencies in the capital, the Israel Police, fire, ZAKA, Magen David Adom and the Hatzalah, raised the alert level to the highest level.
As part of the high alert, a police helicopter rose into the air, and barriers to control major roads in the city were deployed.
Jerusalem police reported to B'Chadrei Charedim, that there is a general alert, and consequently the alert has been sounded in the capital.
