Elad resident arrested: detonators found in his apartment

An Elad resident was arrested last night after hundreds of firecrackers and dangerous fireworks were found in his apartment, suspected to be smuggled in from Palestinian territory to Elad, and sold to his children trade them on Purim.

On one wall in the apartment a price list of the weapons hung.

The police seized 700 detonators longer prohibited for sale in the car where a driver from the South was driving.

Two suspects were detained for questioning and released to their home, under restrictive conditions.

Head of Rosh Haayin Station Commander, Deputy Perez Razon, mentions that these are hazardous toys which are forbidden for use and could cause serious injuries and even finger loss.

"We call for children and youth not to play with firecrackers as they can be very dangerous. Parents please talk with your child and explain the ban to play with firecrackers and danger in using them."
