U.S. President Barack Obama will stay at the presidential suite at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem during his visit to Israel. The suite is a two storey, which costs 18,950 NIS per night for the ordinary citizen dollars and includes a Jacuzzi, sauna and three showers.

Obama will come to Israel on Wednesday 9th Nissan. Since the hosting of the President falls a few days before Passover, hotel management will make efforts not to scatter parts of chametz in the rooms where the President and his entourage will be staying.

The living room suite is 120 square meters, overlooking the Old City. Downstairs there is a large bedroom, which also has a walk-in closet. In the inside hall of the lower room there is a Jacuzzi and sauna. Showers and toilets are situated in the bedroom, and even outside the bedroom and on the staircase. A home theater system is also installed in the suite.
Obama and his team chose to take up residence at the hotel chosen by all his predecessors, as well as most of the leaders of the countries who come to Israel.

The U.S. President's visit will last three days and will cost Israel between 10 and 15 million shekels. Only the cost of the stay of the entourage is estimated at 2-3 million shekels, and this in part is because of the security arrangements and the fact that full floors at the hotel will close and will not be available to 'regular' guests.
