At around 12 pm, chairman of Habayit Hayehudi, Naftali Bennett arrived at the Kiryah in Tel Aviv for a meeting for the first time in five years - with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
There's no great friendship here, and Bennett is the last of those invited to meet with the Prime Minister - three weeks after the election. However, in almost every possible constellation, it is quite clear that he will be part of the next government.
Notice of the meeting came yesterday, shortly after Bennett apologized to Sarah Netanyahu on the radio program, 'as of this morning'. "The attack on her was out of place, she is a good woman who loves her husband, and he has the full right to consult with her as I consulted with my wife," he said. "My joke too, which I shouldn’t have made, used to attack Sarah, and I'm sorry about that, if anyone wants to see Netanyahu's policies – he is the address, not her," he added.
Netanyahu presented Bennett with the new equal burden layout, ideal to him, including termination of funding institutions that refuse to participate in the burden.
Previously Ayelet Shaked stated: "There are understandings between us and Lapid. Our staff, Yesh Atid and the Likud has to come to an agreement together. Position with the Palestinians remains as it was. If the prime minister thinks we should negotiate – we will not object, but will not agree to preconditions on this matter."
