Blizzard 'Nemo' continues claiming victims on the East Coast of the United States and Canada. Since the beginning of the fierce blizzard 14 lives have been claimed.
11 died in the United States and three in Canada. In Boston an 11-year-old boy died of carbon poisoning, as he tried to warm up in a running car.
About 350,000 homes and businesses are still without electricity, mostly in Massachusetts.
Likewise, many country roads are still blocked and some residents were trapped in homes after the snow piled up to a height of three feet and blocked the entrance of their homes.
However, the three major airports in New York returned to regular activities.
Flights from Ben Gurion airport to New York take off on schedule. However, due to congestion at airports in New York, you may want to inquire with travel agents and airlines.
