Orthodox lawyer was released to house arrest

Last Monday the Fraud Investigation Unit of the Israel Police arrested an orthodox lawyer couple and another man, on suspicion of theft by unauthorized forgery, money laundering, obstruction of justice and other offenses.

It is suspected that the couples, who practice law, stole from a trust which they were countersigned on - hundreds of thousands of shekels.

The third suspect was released after an investigation, the attorney husband - was remanded, and then he was released, and today his wife was released under restrictive agreements.

Last week, the father also of the attorney was questioned, a dayan at the rabbinical court in Jerusalem, with a warning - suspicion of bias divorce cases in the rabbinical court in Jerusalem. He was questioned on suspicion of fraud and breach of trust and abuse of power of his position, in part because of his involvement in portfolio management involving his son and son in law, and for their management. Upon completion of investigation and obtaining evidence from all involved, the police agreed to release the woman from custody, ten days under house arrest and guarantees.
