Last Wednesday a complaint was filed with the Rehovot police, for malicious damage to the Kretchnif Rebbe's car, after two car tires were punctured. In addition, graves were desecrated and burned of the previous Rebbe and the Rebbetzin of Kretchnif zt"l, and the fire burned down mezuzos as well. Damage was also done to property of the Rebbe's chassidim.
In the NCO foundations' activity, a suspect of the acts was found on Friday, a secular resident of Rehovot, who lives on Gush Etzion street in an eastern section of the town – who admitted the acts attributed to him.
The suspect was arrested and jailed, and his detention was extended until this Wednesday. In his investigation he said: "They did witchcraft on me" - and that is why he had done what he did.
It turns out that this is the same person who two days before the filing of the complaint, was detained and questioned after imposing terror on residents of the building where he lived, and was released under restrictive conditions.
The man began to threaten his neighbors several weeks ago that he intends to "make an end" of them.
Initially the neighbors did not attach great importance to what he said. Only after a few days passed, they realized that they were in distress - the neighbor began to impose fear on them and their families. He walked about on the stairs with a knife, and on one occasion even stuck it in a door. In another case knife he tore through a neighbor's private carriage, and later ripped off the mezuzahs at the entrance to the apartments in the building – which he burned near the tomb of Rebbe of Kretchniff zt"l.

According to witnesses, he would chase the children on their way to school, and scattered food in the building.
Tenants filed complaints in the police and said they fear for their lives and their children's. The police initially did not respond. Only after the intervention of city council member Rabbi Pinchas Hominer, the man was questioned. As mentioned, two days later - he was arrested.
