Educate the child: "Honor at Beis Vizhnitz" - before saying Modeh Ani
נחומי יעקב

Quizzes on Chassidic matters are uncommon amongst chassidic Talmudei Torah, but Talmud Torah Vizhnitz led by the Vizhnitzer Rebbe based at on King Shlomo Street in Bnei Brak – are holding a fascinating quiz.

A review of one of these tests, being published at the Talmud Torah in Elad, shows that from a young age they indoctrinate the young students with the Rebbe's greatness and devotion required of them, in addition to the service of Hashem, even in chassidus.

The matters of Torah and chassidus, for ages five as is seen on the top of the page is the first page the students memorize:

"What should be the first thought of a Vizhnitz advocate, when he gets up in the morning, even before he says Modeh Ani?"

The answer: "What am I going to do today for the honor of Heaven and ... honor of Beis Vizhnitz."

"What does a Vizhnitz child say immediately after Modeh Ani?"

"Good morning to Rabbeinu Hakadosh, he should be healthy and strong."

The one, who prepared the questions, understood that the child may ask: "But we are in Elad, and the Rebbe Shlita is in Bnei Brak, does he hear how we wish him 'good morning'?"

And it has an answer: "Of course. The Ahavas Yisrael (of Vizhnitz) said to his chassid Rabbi Nachman who makes tzitzis, if you say Shabbat Shalom, I answer also Shabbat Shalom".

Content of the questions and answers under the title: "Preparation for prayer and shacharis," the boy is asked, "What does a Vizhnitz chassid do before going to pray?"

The answer: "long before the prayer begins, one comes to the Beit Midrash and learns books of yiras shamaying and chassidus. Before going to pray before Kodsha Bricha we have to do preparation. Learn and do the will of Rabbeinu (and ...) I desire to do your divine will.

Second question: One who does not learn before prayer, can he access it so?

The answer: "What?! Can a car travel without gasoline?"

Question: "What did our Rebbe instruct us to learn every day especially before prayer?"

Answer: "Chovat Halevavot"...
