At the end of 2011 the Fraud Investigation Unit of the police investigation opened the case on suspicion of bias divorce cases in the rabbinical court in Jerusalem.
This is one of the best-known judges, questioned under caution on suspicion of fraud and breach of trust and abuse of power in his position, in part because of involvement in portfolio management involving his family, and for their management.
A few months ago, a complaint was filed with the Civil Service Commission, and the judge ruled that the divorce issues for clients representing his daughter and son-in-law - who were arrested last week on charges of theft of client's trust funds worth millions of dollars.
The judge answered investigators questions and when the investigation ended he was released home under restrictive conditions.
