Now it turns out that another judge who dealt with the remainders of the affair, called Ziegelman to testify at the trial, but Ziegelman was then detained in prison and did not show up. This week the affiar was again discussed in court, and Ziegelman who was on 'parole' - did not appear in court to testify.

Ziegelman's son explains: "Parole is a very limited release, in which the prisoner's passport is confiscated, and he must ask permission each time he wants to go out of the city in which he lives. Father got probation for three years, which is a long time. The authorities simply want to try to break him to denounce chassidim, they believe that as shamash he knows everything about each person in the community. "

The son continues: "When one is 'on parole' this is a very touchy situation, because each offense a person does - even accidentally - can cancel the release and the prisoner will go back to jail. Last week a court in Los Angeles dealt in a case which is connected to the central affair, my father was called to testify, but did not – since he was forbidden to leave New York. The judge got angry and in the next few weeks he will decide whether to cancel his position and return him to jail, or accept the argument of the lawyer who argued his innocence," he concludes, and asks the public to pray for Moshe Eliezer ben Esther.
