Stood up on the Rebbe's table and shouted: "You must release Rubashkin"

In the Beit Midrash of Bobov in Borough Park last Shabbos an unusual incident occurred: A man entered the Beit Midrash on 48th Street during seuda shlishit, got up on the table - and caused uproar.

According to information received to at B'Chadrei Charedim, the man came into the Beit Midrash at the peak of seuda shlishit when the room was completely dark.

He was holding posters in his hands calling to pray for his release and for the health of Shalom Mordechai Rubashkin, the prisoner who was sentenced to 27 years in prison. During the Rebbe's words, he got up on the table, which the chassidim were sitting around, and shouted: "You have to work for the release of Sholom Mordechai Rubashkin."

Disciples, according to the evidence, panicked and began to run out. "We thought it was a terror attack," they explained.

Some participants were quick to call police who hindered the man for an interrogation at the police station.

"Everyone was shocked," said one of the chassidim. He added that the tension and shock showed when the Rebbe made Havdala in the Beit Midrash and "by mistake said 'borei pri hoetz' on the cup of wine."
