The next hit in the Haredi sector? A Hareidi gym in Jerusalem offers: Do fitness while studying, according to a report in Yediot Jerusalem.
The gym which was set up by avreichim from Ramat Shlomo is nothing more than a vibrating device which, according to his activators, standing on equals hours of fitness.
According to its operators, the device solves the need to "go to exercise rooms, lift weights, sweat while walking or stop one's study. Simply stand on the device, it vibrates and does the job."
The avreichim who conceived the idea, bought the device and its use is offered to subscribers. They argue that standing on the device is equal to a daily hour of walking, according to doctors' testing.
And the highlight: while standing on it, one can place a Gemara on the upper stand and continue learning.
To avoid problems of modesty, the organizers decided to dedicate separate hours for men and women. "It was tested in the neighborhood by rabbis, Talmidei Chachamim and women educators," they add in the ad.
