An unexpected request came to the residence of the Sadigora Rebbe these days: The Belzer Rebbe requested to write a letter in the Sefer Torah, which began to be written following thirty days since the passing of the Sadigora Rebbe zt'l.
Between the Belzer Rebbe and the Sadigora Rebbe zt"l, there was a close friendship for many years: for example, in the previous elections to the Knesset, when a delegation from Yahadut Hatorah came to the Sadigora Rebbe to add his signature to the 'call', for the sake of the party, the Rebbe refused. It was a relatively short time after the election period in Jerusalem, in which his associate, MK Meir Porush lost in the race for mayor.
The Rebbe could not hold back on that and considered the establishment of an independent list. But thanks to the Belzer Rebbe and his admiration for him, he didn’t do it.
So, at the Bar Mitzvah of the Belzer Rebbe's grandson, there was a clear order to invite only rebbes and rabbis affiliated with Belze and visit the yard frequently. This included the Sadigora Rebbe, and a delegation was sent to invite him.
As expected, the Sadigora Rebbe responded immediately to the request and sent his son Rabbi Mordechai Shalom Yosef Friedman accompanied by one of the Gabbaim with the Sifrei Torah to Belze. The Rebbe wrote a letter in the Sefer Torah, and then held a lechaim tisch.
The Sefer Torah should be completed prior to the first yartzeit of the Rebbe, and will probably be inserted in Kloiz of Chassidus Sadigora in Shikun 5 in Bnei Brak.
