Today (Monday) at 15:00 or so, a 21 year old girl, a resident of Hebron arrived at the Cave of the Patriarchs through the Tzalvanit checking post.

When she tried to pass the inspection – the metal detector beeped, and three soldiers of the Border Police at the scene searched her purse.

The forces found two large knives (eight fingers each in length).

During preliminary interrogation of the suspect she pleaded: "I came to carry out a stabbing attack against a soldier – as revenge for being hurt once in Tel Aviv."

The suspect was arrested and taken in for questioning and follow-up at Fathers Hill in Hebron.

Earlier today, a young ultra-Orthodox man was stabbed on nationalist background on Bar Lev-Haneviim intersection in Jerusalem, but was not injured. The perpetrator was caught after a chase and taken for questioning.
