Prior to the upcoming yartzeit - a new regulation amongst Vizhnitz Chassidim: Friday night of the next few weeks all the chassidim from around the country will gather at the Beit Midrash of Vizhnitz in Bnei Brak for two hours of learning.
During the first hour everyone learns what his heart desires. The second hour will be devoted to the sefer Minchas Chinuch, which will be taught each week on by a well known talmid chacham.
The regulation was determined by the Rebbe, during a divrei torah delivered during seuda shlishit on Shabbos.
The Rebbe stressed the fact that the hillula of his father the Yeshuos Moshe zt"l is approaching in a month: "How can you prepare for the yahrzeit? We must think of what my father zt"l would have most appreciated and loved, and thus adhere to it. My father loved the Torah and listen to the Torah words."
In the words made in response to public discourse about the issue of recruiting charedim, the Rebbe compared Torah study and recruitment: "Some will say, why Thursday? It's Erev Shabbos, it's a little hard ... But when a person gets an order eight from the army, he cannot refuse and say: 'This is not comfortable for me, it's hard for me', so is this regulation. This is an order for all Chassidim."
"So we have to prepare for my father's yahrzeit. Everyone will participate in Torah study and may the Torah words be heard strongly."
