Good news: Rabbi Tzvi Yehudah Edelstein Rosh Yeshiva of Orchos Torah, the son of Rabbi Gershon Edelstein and son in law of Rabbi Shaul Barzam l (son in law of the Steipler zt"l) is recovering satisfactorily, at the Asuta Medical Center, following bypass surgery last Friday.
It all started a few weeks ago, when Hgrtz"i was not feeling well following heart ailments. In a series of tests run by his doctor, it turned out that he must undergo urgent angiography. The angiography was scheduled for last Thursday, and Hgrtz"i passed it, but it was not successful. After treatment, the doctor announced that the procedure failed and that the main artery was blocked by about 96%. Due to this acute situation, the doctor ordered that he must undergo emergency bypass surgery.
The surgery was scheduled for Friday afternoon. When Hgray"l heard about it, he ordered all yeshiva students to say tehillim dedicated to his recovery and the success of the operation, when Hgray"l adds that Hgrtz"i "is a Tzaddik ben Tzaddik and worthy of the tefillos of Klal Yisrael."
Hgrtz"i was brought into the operating room at around 11:30 and two hours later the doctor came out and told: "The operation succeeded."
Until Shabbos morning Hgrtz"i was in a coma as a result of the surgery. During the morning, he was woken him from his coma and doctors checkup revealed that his condition is good and is recovering properly.
The public is called to pray for Rabbi Zvi Yehuda Ben Henya Rachel for a refua shleima.
