Interior Minister Eli Yishai was interviewed yesterday in the Central Edition with Nitzan Keidar on Kol Barama radio, and said: "We are doing everything, we need to get into the coalition. We are looking for ways to get into the coalition - for a simple reason: to guard the world of Torah and Am Yisrael.

"We've already been in the opposition once, we were in the opposition during Sharon's second government, and then returned to the Knesset and the government with almost 13 seats ... we were in the opposition and could be back in opposition.

"The point is not to cause a rift in the nation... there are enough ways to protect the Torah world from the opposition. I hope the prime minister will understand the risks, will take a courageous decision, will convince Lapid that that what's important to us is the Torah world.

"We are also ready to be in a coalition without ministers, if we can reach a state of solution for the yeshiva world. We can be in the coalition, without being in the government - in particular, and above all to save the Bnei Yeshivos. We need everyone to understand that we are not looking for the chairs, although offices mean influence.

"Despite everything, what is before our eyes is that will be no rift in the nation and we can guard the Torah world."
