It is not yet clear what will be the reaction of Syria or Hezbollah to the alleged assault of the Israeli air force - if at all, but Israel is preparing for it.

Since the alleged Israeli attack by the foreign media, the political - security cabinet held a number of consultations with different compositions. Yesterday there was an assessment of the situation attended by the Prime Minister and heads of the Home Security System. At the IDF top brass there was also much alert as a result of the alleged attack against Israel.

At the end of last week, batteries of the Iron Dome system were placed - one in Haifa and the second next to Tzfat. Another dome was deployed yesterday morning in the Jezreel Valley. According to one scenario, in response to the attack on Syria there will be firing of rockets at Israel.

Other options raised yesterday were that there will be an attempt of response using worldwide terrorist attacks against Israeli or Jewish targets, such as the bombing in Burgos last summer, made, as far as known, by Hezbollah.

Meanwhile, security around Israeli institutions in India was reinforced, and senior Israeli officials met with representatives from the Indian Ministry of the Interior, the intelligence and Delhi police and informed them that Iran could harm Israeli diplomats. This was reported by the 'Times of India' newspaper.

According to the report, quoted this morning in the 'Israel Today' paper, Israeli officials asked for information from the authorities in India about the investigation of the attack in the country a year ago, when Tal Yehoshua-Koren, wife of the Messenger of the Ministry of Defense, was injured in India.

Despite the tension felt in the north, there were no cancellations in guest rooms and hotels in the Upper Galilee and the Golan Heights.

According to foreign sources, the world did not rule out that while attacking a research facility near Damascus, weapons stored in it were also attacked, and were supposed to be transferred in the near future from Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

As reported in recent days, Israel's biggest concern was for the transfer of SA17-aircraft missiles, beach rockets of the 'Yahonet' type, accurate D Scud missiles and chemical weapons.

Syrian rebels circulated a video yesterday which documented, so they argue, the Israeli planes during the attack.
