A family that was supposed to marry of their son found out a day earlier that the father of the chassan had to have surgery at the hospital.
The incident occurred this week in the family of Hagaon Rebbi Yirmiyahu Neishlas, Av Beis Din Sa'rdali in Bnei Brak, who married off his son last night (Tuesday) with the granddaughter of the Rebbe of Mishkenot Haroim in Tamir, Jerusalem.
A day before the wedding Hagaon Niislas felt ill and was in great pain, he was sent for tests at the hospital – and tests showed that he had gallstones, and according to doctors instruction was supposed have emergency surgery within a few hours - on the wedding day.
Regretfully the chassan turned to his uncle - the Rachmastrivke Rebbe – Hgr"y Niislas's brother in law, told him what happened and asked for a blessing, the Rebbe suggested to examine the possibility to postpone the surgery a few days, but doctors insisted that they need to perform the surgery immediately. Therefore the Rebbe could not nothing but bless the chassan that he will merit his father's full participation at the wedding and sheva brachos
Last night, two hours before the intended operation, doctors performed another test which proved that the case is not urgent as they initially thought, and they can put off surgery for a week - to the delight of the chassan and his family.
Indeed, despite the weakness of the father of the chassan, he took part in the wedding, the chuppa and the mitzvah tanz, along with the uncle the Rebbe who's blessing was fulfilled.
