Double envelopes count, voted by the soldiers, diplomats, prisoners, sailors and more, for the 19th Knesset elections, ended shortly after 13:30. In the evening the Central Elections Committee finished calculating the final results, and the data were published.


Changes, after the counting of votes of the soldiers and the double envelopes, the international balance - blocks: equal tension of 60 against 60 the Right wing reaches an advantage of 61.

Double envelopes include the votes of soldiers, diplomats, prisoners, sailors and voters who voted in hospitals. Also the poll committee members - secretary, chairman and members may vote in double envelopes. This is approximately 250 thousand votes, which were added to the 3,579,115 valid votes counted so far.


Unlike normal computerized counts, are which made into a computerized protocol after counting the notes, when it comes to double envelopes one must check every one of them if a double vote was not carried out by the voter, suggesting double voting, which takes a long time, much longer than a regular ballot.

Incidentally, the fact that polling station committee members are entitled to vote in a double envelope is new to these elections, explaining the increase in their number.


After counting the double envelopes, it became clear that Kadima passed the threshold, and that Habayit Hayehudi won another mandate at the expense of Ra"m - Taal – who declined to four seats. With that Habayit Hayehudi went up to 12 seats and to the representatives in the Knesset will join No. 12 on the list – Shuli Mualem.

Mualem, an IDF widow who lost her husband, the late Moshe Mualem in the helicopter disaster, said: "I am happy that the soldiers are the ones who placed me in the Knesset, this is an additional point to the special and deep connection that I have with the IDF."


Yahadut Hatorah was moved by the final result. "It's amazing," said a source at Yahadut Hatorah. "We had a pool of 190 thousand potential votes. We never dreamed to get close to this number."

All the numbers, all the data

Out of 5,656,705 eligible voters, 3,834,136 voters voted. 3,793,469 valid votes, while 40,667 votes were disqualified. The voting percentage is slightly higher than that reported on Election Day and stands at 67.79%.


Threshold - 2% of valid votes - is 75,869 votes.


Likud is leading the way with 884,625 votes or 23.32%, Yesh Atid in second place with 543,222 votes which are 14.32%, Avodah is theird with 432,083 votes or 11.39%, Habayit Hayehudi in fourth place with 345,935 votes which are 9.12%.

Shas is only fifth and won -331,800 voters representing 8.75% of the total votes, Yahadut Hatorah immediately after with 196,038 voters - 5.17%. Hatnua in seventh place with 4.99% and only 189,168 votes, Meretz in eighth place with 4.54% - 172,340 votes.


At the bottom of the list are the parties who crossed the threshold: United Arab list 138,362 votes and -3.65%, Chadash 113,610 votes and 2.99%, Balad received 96,926 voters - 2.56%, and Kadimaat the bottom with 2.1% and 79,513 voters. In total 12 lists crossed the threshold.

Who is left out?
Otzma Leyisrael burned 66,840 votes - 1.76%, Am Shalem wasted 1.2% and 45,691 votes, Aleh Yarok wasted 43,725 votes - 1.15%, Eretz Chadasha with 28,084 votes, slightly more than Koach Lehashpia with 28,048 votes, both with 0.74%, the Israelis burned half percent with 18,987 votes, the Greens 0.22% with 8190 votes, Dor - 6028, Chaim B'Kavod - 3639, DAM - 3550, Achim Anachnu - 2900, social justice - 2877, pirates - 2384, all friends - 2179, Economics - 1972, progressive liberal - 1568, Ohr - 1027, the Soviet World - 766, hope for change - 650 and last place Brit Olam with 461 votes.
