A week later: Obama found Netanyahu's number

Almost a week has passed since the elections took place in Israel, in which the part of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won the highest number of seats - although he has not yet been assigned to formulate the new government by the President.

But only tonight (Monday), the Prime Minister received a call from the U.S. President, Barack Obama, who congratulated him on his victory.

Statement from the White House announced that President Obama told Netanyahu in a conversation, he looks forward to working with Israel "closely" about the Middle East peace process and regional security issues.

"The President said he looks forward to working with the government which will be established, and reiterated his commitment to the deep and ongoing relationship between the United States and Israel," the statement from the White House.

However, despite the fact that a week has passed since the election, Obama is the first world leader calling to congratulate Bibi.
