Two years later, the demonstrations against the regime return to Egypt and those become more and more violent. State of emergency has been declared in the country.
On Friday, the crowds came out again into the streets in Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Luxor and more, to call out to the current president Mohamed Mursi to resign.
Against this background, the president of Egypt, Mohammed Mursi, declared a state of emergency in Suez, Ismailia and Port Said for 30 days.
Four people died of gunshot wounds in demonstrations in Port Said, 38 other people were injured by gunfire, and more than 429 people were affected by tear gas.
46 people have been killed since Thursday in demonstrations against the Mursi government. Most of them in Port Said and Suez, both currently deployed military forces.
Most of those killed on Saturday were hit by fire at the demonstrations against the death sentence imposed on 21 people in the city on some carnage football game last year. A military source told Reuters that many in Port Said have firearms, but it is not clear who was behind the shooting.
In Cairo, police sprayed tear gas onto the dozens of demonstrators against the Islamists who control Egypt.
The protesters accuse Mursi of betraying the democratic goals of the revolution "Arab Spring" that toppled the regime of Hosni Mubarak.
