Chose to celebrate: election day events in the Chassidic courts

Election Day was also a day of joy for several descendants of Rebbes who married on this day, Tuesday, twice Ki Tov.


In the Moddin Halls in Ramat Gan the marriage of the first great granddaughter of the Pnei Menachem of Ger zt"l, granddaughter of his son Rabbi Yaakov Meir Alter, daughter of his son in law Rabbi Mordechai Berliner, to the son of Reb Yehuda Aryeh Leib Silberstein, Rabbi of Beit Midrash Ger on Dessler Street Bnei Brak.

So far, all the chuppas of the descendants of the Pnei Menachem which were held in Bnei Brak, were held at the square next to the Gerrer seminary in Shikun 5, Bnei Brak, to accommodate the masses of the participants and followers. But this time - due to the elections and public incapacity to attend the celebration - the wedding took place in the halls of iModiin and with limited family members to avoid affecting the work of the activists for Yahadut Hatorah.

The Gerrer Rebbe, who arrived Tuesday morning to vote in Bnei Brak, stayed in the city to attend the wedding.

Another wedding that took place on this day, was Dushinsky - Strikov: This is the wedding of son of Rabbi Mordechai Yehuda Dushinsky, Dushinsky Rabbi in Beit Shemesh, with the daughter of Rabbi Yaakov Yehoshua Anglandar, Rosh Yeshiva Machnovke and son in law of Rabbi Moshe Stern, held in the Keter Rimon Halls in Bnei Brak.


One of the wedding guests in attendance was the Satmar Rebbe who is currently visiting Israel, who came after a day of prayers conducted at the kivrei tzaddikim in the Galilee. It was a special sight which brought all the guests, who crowded around the guest and witnesses the emotional scene when the Rebbe danced with the mechutanim.

At the auditorium hall in Beitar Illit, the wedding of the grandson of the Toldos Avraham Yitzchak Rebbe, son of his son Rabbi Chaim Meir Kahn, Rabbi of the Beit Midrash of Toldos Avraham Yitzhak in Beitar Illit, and son in law of Reb Moshe Brandsdorfer zt"l, took place, with the daughter of Rabbi David Schwimmer, Mo"tz and Rosh Kollel in Jerusalem.

Another event took place in the court of Toldos Aharon - Zutchka - Tamswar: Rabbi Moshe Kahn, Rosh Yeshiva of Toldos Aharon, and son of the Toldos Aharon Rebbe zt"l, married off his daughter at the hall of the Beit Midrash in Jerusalem, with the Zutchka Rebbe's grandson, son of the son in law of Rabbi Chaim Laufer, Rabbi of the Beit Midrash Tamswar in Elad and son of the Tamswar Rebbe in the USA.

This is the first wedding held in the Beit Midrash, since the Rebbe came to the leadership. In the past decade, all weddings of the court were held at different halls, which required transport for the masses that joined in the celebrations. This time, it was decided that the Beit Midrash - which had expanded significantly two years ago was enough. The bride's uncle, The Toldos Aharon Rebbe expressed his satisfaction from the fact that the wedding took place 'close to home' and the disciples did not have to drag their feet to remote locations, allowing the wedding to finish relatively early.
