A little after ten o'clock, at the back of the stage of communication, while I try to watch the Shas stage the biggest insight for me fell in my mind ton he last elections of the 19th Knesset.

Some said that Eastern Judaism had a relatively peaceful life and suffered less persecution because of their innocent faith, because of their respect in their synagogues. I'm not getting into heavens decisions, of course, but yesterday, it seems, Sephardic Jewry testified on all the ramifications of the innocent faith burning within anyone of them.

Inside the perfect and giant production on Kanfei Nesharim St. (really impressive and well done to those who did the job) stood out on both sides of the hall, in neat rows, pictures of Maran Hgr"o Yosef. The singer Benny Elbaz bounced and danced on stage and rocked the crowd (as only he can do), while he roars his throat again and again, "Maran, Maran, Maran." believe, believe, the greatest of the generation ... he joined the ranks ..."

The atmosphere was electrifying. Even the greatest cynics of the world media, those who sat and typed on their computers the not very encouraging story, tapped their fingers up and moved to the beat. There was something about the atmosphere that was hard to ignore. At that moment I realized what the answer to the question of questions is: How did the mandates return home.

For days Shas had major concerns, the heart of the Rabbi was eaten from the inside, the nerves 'celebrated' at the headquarters - surveys indicated a clear trend toward leakage of seats to Naftali Bennett and his 'Jewish home'.

Even after the harsh words of Hgr"o, last Motzei Shabbos, about the party (gentile) the graph did not change. He stood there in front of the faces of the vertices of Shas, crisp, chilling and ominous. Anyone who saw them in the final moments of yesterday, sometime around evening, saw the terror in their eyes. They were close to tears. A moment before, after ten at night, like a condemned already standing on the gallows with a rope around his neck, a good angel came and removed the noose around their necks.

So what really happened? Maran!

It turns out that at the moment of truth, standing behind the screen, he and his Creator, he and his conscience, Sephardic Jews were not able to vote for Bennett. Maran's sorrow flickered before his eyes like a nightmare, tears of "Chacham Ovadia" searing his conscience, and then, with all due respect to Naftali's impressive Facebook, with all the sympathy to "brothers, you are my brothers", with all the anger about corruption by these and other people who 'warmed' during the election campaign of some 'Amalek' parties who tried to cool the bath and cool the Sephardic pure and innocent faith - he could not "do it to Maran".

At the moment of truth the Sephardic voter took the Shas note which he has chosen for over twenty years, and pushed it into the envelope. "Naftali Bennett forgive me, I cannot break the heart of Maran," he probably muttered to himself and dropped the envelope into the ballot box.
