Rabbi Amnon was despondent after losing

Gloom prevailed last night, the night of the election results, at the offices of Shofar, located on Ben Yaakov Street in Bnei Brak. The organization which thought to go from a repentance organization and turn into a political party in the Knesset, found that it was difficult to cross the threshold. Later, when all the votes were counted, it became clear that the party Koach Lehashpia of Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak received only 26,744 votes.

Party activists who had planned to hold a big party at the 'Hallelujah' halls in Petach Tikva, were disappointed with the publication of the sample results, and evacuated with the equipment in the organization truck, but not before one of the reporters of the Nayes lines, who came to cover the event, was attacked, his phone was broken and his shirt was torn. The latter filed a complaint with police last night in Petah Tikva.

Meanwhile, crowds gathered near the offices of Shofar, most of them actually Shas supporters. Repeated cries were heard made towards activists of Koach Lehashpia and among them the sons of Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak: "You promised us bread for one shekel ... Where is it?" shouted the crowds.

At the same time Rabbi Amnon sat in his offices, one floor below ground level. The Rabbi, who spoke during the election period that, "we are going to have a two digit number", was disappointed together with his activists.

Members of Koach Lehashpia, during the past three months, some pure, innocent Baalei Teshuva who worked leshem shamayim according to the rabbi's request, had a terrible shock and crisis. It was obvious that they did not believe what was happening. All along, they truly believed according to Rabbi Amnon's words that they have a two digit number."

One activist who was at the office told B'Chadrei Charedim that "there was a big shock, feelings of grief amongst activists and Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak were seen when they left, and some even cried."

The Shofar website removed the campaign Koach Lehashpia, and now there is no reference at all to the party. B'Chadrei Charedim has learned that Rabbi Amnon Yitzchak will continue his activity, and at the municipal election in Cheshvan he will run the party again.
