A two and eight year olds were seriously injured in a car accident in Lakewood

On route 9 – the death road which crosses the length of the city Lakewood, New Jersey - again claims victims. This time: a two year old and eight year old sister was injured yesterday in an accident on the road and is in difficult condition.


The accident occurred on Cushman street when a vehicle driven by an ultra-orthodox woman who was speeding, turned right without signaling and seriously injured a brother and sister crossing the road crosswalk with their mother.


The vehicle hit the eight year old girl and the two year old child who was in his stroller which was crushed under the vehicle. The mother miraculously survived.


Rescue forces, police and a municipal ambulance arrived at the scene.

A Hatzalah driver was forced to lift the car with a booster used for fixing a punctured tire. The children were evacuated in serious condition to the Jersey Shore Medical Center located not far from the accident.


Since the accident, the parents who are at their children's bedside, ask the public to pray for the recovery of Yitzchal Ben Zion ben Rosa Bluma, and his sister Sarah Bracha bat Rosa Bluma.
