Posters in Meah Shearim "do not participate"

Across neighborhoods in Jerusalem, like other cities throughout the country, a different atmosphere is felt this morning (Tuesday) in the air. But in one neighborhood - Meah Shearim - a totally different atmosphere: from the walls and sidewalks cry from the quantity of posters proclaiming - "do not participate".


Already yesterday residents of the main street of Meah Shearim, began to decorate their porches with various signs announcing different slogans against the elections: "We are Jews - not Zionists, so we will not participate in the impure elections" or "Zionism and the state are heretical and rebel in the kingdom of heaven. What do you choose? "And more.

Early this morning, residents covered the sidewalks with posters of various kinds.


One of them actually challenged those who do not participate in the elections. Under the heading: "Do not participate?" it was written sarcastically: "You cannot take from the state child allowance. You must not take from the state income support. You should not take state grants and loans for housing. You must not enjoy free dental treatments G-d forbid. You cannot get discounts for property tax. It is prohibited asking favors of MKs in time of need. One must not vote in the Zionist elections.

The one signed on the posters scattered across the haredi neighborhoods is "ungrateful headquarters". At the bottom of the ad the option is given to join the staff at the headquarters.
