Shock: Tender Committee disqualified proposals of United Committee in Harish

Drama at the Harish settlement tenders: The tenders Committee disqualified today (Thursday), all proposals submitted by the hareidi organizations.

The tender committee of the administration which convened to discuss the issue, decided to reject the proposals submitted by NGOs to the tenders in the settlement.

The publication of the tender results for the construction of 4634 housing units in Harish, was postponed for more than two months after the tender closed due to complaints by the secular purchasing groups that the united hareidi association acted contrary to the laws of the auction.

The complaints led to lengthy discussions at the dministration and the Ministry of Justice and the decision ultimately rolled to the door of the Tender Committee.

It involves 13 hareidi organizations incorporated with the initiative of Meir Porush, under the united hareidi housing committee.

The tender results show that the winning tenders are the real estate companies. H. Dimri, Z. Landau, Ashdar, Donna, API development path, Jay Engineering and Entrepreneurship, Megido Investments, A. Gibrin, A. A. Abu Rass, Kaham Investment Company, Risdor.

Among the winning NGOs is the Association for affordable housing, 'Baharish Uvakazir Tishbot', Arab Commission for housing, Tmimei Derech Leharish, Naot Hannan organization, Daniel Shilat housing association and Green Harish which appealed to disqualify the hareidi association.

The participants in tenders received bids at a price of 132-68 thousand shekels for land per housing unit.

The "Green Harish" on behalf of "Naot Harish," the committee which appealed to disqualify the hareidi housing committee, also won in tenders.

The 'United Haredi Housing Committee Ltd.' is a company owned by Meir Porush, Yosef Deutsch, Rafael Pinhasi, Mordechai Karelitz, Avraham Slonim and Amir Krispel.

At the time of closing of the tenders, it seemed that the organization is winning the maximal number of plots.

A senior source at the united associations said to Behadrey Haredim, "The NGOs received with regret the decision of the Tender Committee. The organizations' activities were impeccable and accompanied by legal counsel. Each organization will review the decision of the Tender Committee and reach a decision as how to continue its operations in the coming days."
