A fire broke out today (Shabbos), at a synagogue in Pardes Hana - Karkur.

Fire crews took control and extinguished the fire.

The Sifrei Torah and Sifrei kodesh were rescued unharmed from the synagogue.

Dudu Vanono, Hadera fire services spokesman, told Behadrey Haredim after Shabbos: "On Shabbat morning, at 7:02 we received a report of a fire which broke out in a shelter on 1 Gilboa street. Pardes Hanna.

"Three firefighters arrived at the scene and identified that it was a synagogue and began fire extinguishing operations, under the commander Eli Jarfi. The firefighting crews rescued the Sifrei Torah, at the same time of the extinguishing operations.

"The fire source was located in the electrical closet, next to which stood a chair which caught fire. The firefighters released the smoke, and rescued the two Sifrei Torah which were in the Ark".

To the request of the gabboim of the synagogue, an investigation into the circumstances of the outbreak of fire was not started.
