Vizhnitz chassidim were moved yesterday (Monday) afternoon: The Vizhnitz Rebbe landed in Israel after one month he spent in New York and Switzerland.

The Rebbe, who left on Chanuka for his first visit to the U.S. after he was appointed Rebbe, participated in the Bar Mitzvah of his twin grandchildren, visited the homes of Rebbes and Rabbis of the United States, and raised funds its institutions.

From the U.S. the Rebbe flew to Lugano, Switzerland, where he stayed to rest last week. He preceded his return to Israel due to the death of his uncle, HaRav HaTzaddik Rabbi Moshe Ernster zt"l.

The Rebbe landed at the airport last night and came straight to the Sanhedria neighborhood in Jerusalem, for nichum aveilim at the Ernster family, and at Hrh"ch Eliezer Geffner, sitting shiva for the death of his sister.

At 21:00 a 'reception' was held at the Vizhnitz Beis Medrash on Ezra Street in Bnei Brak, and chassidim passed by to say 'shalom aleichem'.
