Yesterday (Monday) a 33 year old suspect from Elad was arrested.
The suspect, who works at the Mizrahi - Tefahot branch in Bnei Brak for about a year, was arrested on suspicion of stealing the past few months from customers the amount of money reaching 400,000 shekels, while issuing fake receipts on deposits made.
It is suspected that the suspect was responsible for the safe, forged receipts and changed the amounts listed. He took the difference for himself. As soon as the branch directors suspected him, he was taken for a polygraph test, and found to be lying.
He returned NIS 350,000to the bank.
This morning he was taken to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's for a remand hearing, and the court decided to extend his detention by a day.
