Income: A steward smuggled 115 smartphones

Last weekend a flight attendant of Delta Airlines was arrested, after deciding to complete his income in an original way. It is suspected that the steward Rami Bar, who holds dual citizenship, Israeli and American, smuggled 115 Smartphones in a suitcase - worth a total of 465 thousand shekels.

Tax payments on the instruments are estimated to the amount of 150 thousand shekels, which the steward tried to escape.

Customs investigators sought this morning (Monday) from the court in Ramle to release the steward on bail of 60 thousand shekels and prohibit him from leaving the country for 60 days.

Defense counsel argued that the steward saved for many years the amount of money and bought from an Apple store in New York the smartphones to sell them in Israel.

Judge Zecharya Yemini accepted the defense of Erez Tovi, ordered the release of the steward on bail and allowed him to leave the country, to continue working at the airport. Meanwhile, the smartphones were confiscated by the customs.
