280 students of a haredi Seminary eneterd this (Sunday) afternoon the Mashash River (near the cliffs of Dargot), and lost their way.
This incident took place when 280 students of the Beit Chinuch Seminary from Modi'in Ilit went for a hike led by two guides.
But it was very close to the time of darkness, and the group lost its way.
The counselors alerted the rescue units of Megillot and Dead Sea. These spotted the group and took them safely out of the river, when all are well and healthy.
Gura Berger, a spokeswoman for the rescue unit wished to reiterate, that entering stream channels and long routes, one should only start in the early hours of the day when one can be sure enough to get out before nightfall.
Meir, a parent of one of the students told Behadrey Haredim that the students aged 14-16 from the Beit Chinuch seminary, entered the track in the afternoon, and underestimated the length of the route.
