The home of the chassidish businessman was broken into on Shabbos - and the safe was wrenched

Rabbi Moshe Aharon Deblinger, a leading proponent of Toldos Avraham Yitzchak will not forget this past Friday night for a long time. Rabbi Moshe Aaron lives on the Shivtei Yisrael in Jerusalem, and is known as a businessman among the public. Among other things, he goes out with the medical advisor Rabbi Eliyahu Fried in hospitals across the capital, and offers help and advice to those in need.


Last Shabbos, he spent with his children living in Beit Shemesh. But when he returned home on Motzei Shabbos - he was shocked. The front door was wide open, and the safe which was fixed to the wall in one room - was plucked up by hackers. The safe contained; jewelry, cash, checks, and a book that lists things relating to finances, and other valuables. The total damage amounted to thousands of dollars.

Deblinger tried to find out from neighbors, if anyone had noticed a suspicious person during Shabbos. Unfortunately, he was told by yeshiva students who live in an adjacent apartment that they observed during the early evening of Friday night, minorities going in and out of the apartment. They had no idea that Deblinger was not present at home and innocently believed that this is a Shabbos goy, who came to the house to connect the power supply or turn off the light in the refrigerator. Only when they heard the story, they realized that it was a burglary and theft.

Deblinger called the police, who took evidence and fingerprints from the scene. The police questioned the boys, to try to put together a profile and portrait of a thief, and launched an investigation.
