Rebbe of Kretchniff reassures: "Bnei Yisroel came out with a high hand"

The statements from the leaders of the secular parties about their wish to recruit the yeshiva students to the IDF - remove sleep from the eyes of Gedolei Yisroel. The Rebbe delivered divrei Torah on Shabbos during Shalosh Seudos to hundreds of his followers in the Kretchnif Beis Midrash in Rehovot, he was alarmed at the intention to recruit the yeshiva students.

The Rebbe said that in the Parshas Hashavu'a - the week of the elections – it says "the children of Israel go out with an upper hand," and explained that there is nothing to fear, and that the children of Israel who are the one who learn Torah, will B"H come out with an upper hand.

The Rebbe referred to the fact that the Talmidim of the Kretchnif yeshiva presented him last Friday night with over two thousand hours learnt by them during the last week – on occasion of the Shovevim, which he says, is the real war, by which we can overcome those who seek to uproot the Torah of Israel.

"The real pages which will save us from the wicked who seek to uproot the Torah of Israel will be the pages of Gemora. By adding further study of Torah in the coming days - we can win those seeking to uproot the Torah and violate their intentions," he said. And added: "The wicked seek to uproot the Torah will remain without teeth to bite the learners, and will be forced to pursue the Torah scholars to help them."
